Senior Judge Tom Kohl’s life changed when his daughter was tragically murdered. That horrific event was one that would challenge him and his family in ways they couldn’t have imagined. And yet, it was also the beginning of calling.

Judge Kohl wrote a book about his journey through grief, Losing Megan: Finding Hope, Comfort and Forgiveness in the Midst of Murder. That book would lead to speaking engagements and eventually, along with his years spent in the criminal justice system, an idea. How could those that wronged society also find redemption?

That question was answered through Paid in Full, an organization that looks to change the culture of the Oregon prison system by transforming adults in custody into spiritual and moral leaders.
